Among disbelievers was his father who rejected Ibrahim AS’s teachings. Ibrahim AS was punished for not worshipping idols and was catapulted into a monstrous fire. Here, he made a heartfelt du'a with complete reliance in Allah SWT's plans which saved him from the fire. Upon witnessing this miracle, the disbelievers still refused to accept the truth. He was thrown out of his homeland without any followers, except for his wife. However, Ibrahim AS’ legacy lived on.

Prophet Ibrahim AS endured many tests throughout his life. He was rejected by his father and his people, and tested with his spouses and his children. Ibrahim AS went through his trials with nobility and loyalty towards Allah SWT. In this episode, Ibrahim AS was ordered by Allah SWT to leave his wife Hajar, and only son Ismail in a barren dessert. Hajar showed great conviction in Allah SWT when she was faced with deep uncertainty. No other woman is honoured as much as Hajar who was indeed unique and special. Until this day, she is celebrated when Muslims all over the world perform Saie during Hajj and Umrah, to commemorate her patience and determination.

In this episode, Prophet Ibrahim AS and Prophet Ismail AS were rewarded with the greatest honour, which was to build a place of worship, the Ka’bah. Both father and son were given the noble task of raising the foundations of the house of Allah SWT. Allah SWT gave specific instructions on how it was to be built, and He blessed it even more by gifting the Hajar Aswad, the black stone from heaven. When the Ka’bah was completed, Allah SWT instructed Ibrahim AS to call his people for the Hajj pilgrimage. Every year since then, all Muslims answer Ibrahim AS’s call to Hajj and this is the biggest tribute.
