THE GIFT OF SALAH
As Muslims, we know that Salah is a crucial aspect of our faith. However, it can be challenging to instill this understanding in children, especially when they are young. At Ahlan Academy, we recognize the importance of creating a positive and engaging learning environment for our children, which is why we have developed The Gift Of Salah: Salah Superstars programme for children aged 6-9 & Salah Titans for tweens aged 10-12.
Our programme is designed to make Salah a fun and meaningful experience for children. We believe that by teaching them the history and significance of Salah, and incorporating interactive activities and games, we can help them appreciate the beauty and importance of Salah in their daily lives.

What will my child receive for the programme?
The participants will be given the programme kit which includes Ahlan drawstring bag, programme name tag, programme notes, programme folder, basic stationeries, insurance, beneficial, practical knowledge with fun teambuilding exercises that will enhance their soft skills like teamwork, communication, creativity and critical thinking, there will also be food and beverages for the participants, it will be prepared 3 times a day meal.
Can my 6-year-old participate in the programme?
Although the programme caters from 7 years old. We do accept 6 years old turning 7 in 6 months. If the participant can understand English language and can comprehend basic instructions. Other than that, we do not recommend, due to the inability to grasp and comprehend the knowledge.
If my child does not know how to pray and if he/she is of the age?
If your child is of the age, we accept them even if he/she does not know how to pray, we believe that after they joined the programme, they are able to appreciate salah and will be able to pray and improve from it. Even if they know how to pray, we believe that after joining the programme, they will know the sunnah way of salah according to how the prophet pray and will be able to appreciate salah as a gift other than it is wajib. In any ways it will enhance their knowledge, understanding & appreciating salah.
What can I prepare my child for the programme
Ahlan Academy will provide you a list of things to bring for your reference so to ease your child’s preparation for the event.
Are there specific guidelines of clothes that my child should wear?
Yes, all girls should wear a clothing that is suitable and covers the Awrah of a women which is everything must be covered except for face and palms. As for boys, the requirement of the clothing must cover between the knees and belly button, which later will be explained further when Ahlan Academy provides the registered participants with programme itinerary.
Can my child be in the same group with his friends?
The groups will be mixing with boys and girls but with equal number of distribution and under full observation of trainers and facilitators. The grouping will be randomise, therefore, there will be 50% chance of having friends in the same group.
Can parents join the whole programme together?
We do not encourage the parents to be in the programme for all days, but we do have the spectacular showcase where the parents will be invited on the second day to see the performance of their child regarding of what they have learnt.
What can I expect from the spectacular showcase?
Ahlan academy wants the showcase to be genuinely and prepared fully by the kids with the guidance of the facilitators and the trainers. Unlike other institutions, they have prepared the show before hand. We believe in the participants creativity, their talent in addition to their stage confidence. We also believe that this showcase will help them improve their confidence on stage and enhance their creativity.
What will my child be learning in the programme?
They will be learning the ways of salah according to how the prophet performed. Then we will focus on performing wudhu the right way. Followed by understanding of how salah was revealed to the prophet. In addition to that, they will learn to understand the conditions of a valid prayer, which finally will move to understanding the meaning of Al-Fatihah which we read that surah at the very minimum of 17 times a day. In all of the session, we will then be explaining to the participants the gifts of salah according to the hadith of the Prophet. In every of our session there will be a mix of lecture and fun activities.
What is the different between this programme to the other salah programmes?
Firstly, our age group, in every salah programmes, there will be a problem of age gap. In addition to the complexity of the content. Therefore, we decide to separate age gap, this is to ensure that all of them can comprehend the knowledge and able to fully grasp the knowledge theoretically and practically. Our focus is the comprehension of the participant. Therefore, we decided to separate the age group.
Why is it at Shah Alam?
This year Ahlan Academy is aiming to expand its reach to Denai Alam and set-up a physical academy for the people of Shah Alam, Denai Alam, Puncak Alam and Setia Alam or even Klang. Therefore, part of the expansion is to also bring our programme across lembah klang and Selangor. The objective is to aim for a bigger reach audience from various areas.
